Virtual Facetime Newborn Session

Babies are born everyday and new parents are seemingly heartbroken because they were expecting to be able to have a professional newborn session to capture those very precious newborn baby images. However with COVID-19 here and the Stay at Home order issued, photographers everywhere including me have closed our doors to our photography studios until further notice.

This virus won’t keep us from capturing these sweet memories. Therefore I am offering Virtual Facetime instructed newborn sessions to any client that wants to capture their babies and have their images professionally edited.

What is a Virtual Facetime newborn session? Well it is where the client and I will be facetiming each other for up to 1 hour. During that time, I will instruct the client on swaddling the baby, how to position the baby, which way to face to get the best lighting for the images, and I will give some setting advice for their camera. Once the virtual session is complete, the client will send me the image files that they captured on their phone or digital camera, and I will use my editing skills to edit their images.

The cost for a Virtual Facetime Newborn Session and edits is $125. These sessions are highly discounted from my in-studio newborn sessions that begin at $300. The virtual session includes 3 edited images sent in a gallery to download. All other images are available for $10 more per edit. All composite images are $20 per edit.

When is the best time for a newborn session? I typically like to photograph newborn babies between 4-14 days old, however, I am able do these virtual sessions for babies up to 1 month old.

Londyn’s newborn session was so fun to put together. The mom kept the gender a surprise until baby was born. We found out it was a girl. The girl colors mom chose were coral and purple.

Londyn was born on 10/29/18 at 3:15 am and weighed 9 lbs 14 oz.

Brown Family Session | Wylie, TX Newborn, Children & Family Photographer

This family has been coming to me for their photography needs for maybe 6 years now. I am so proud and blessed to have returning clients year after year.

We decided to try a new location for their family session, however the client lives close by this area and specifically requested going here.

Pryson's Newborn Session | Wylie, TX Newborn, Children & Family Photographer

This newborn session was so fun to work on. I originally met this mom at a Lularoe party and then went on to photograph their oldest son announcing becoming a big brother for the first time. Pryson is the 3rd boy in the family. He was born on 10/24/18 at 5:13 pm, weighing in at 8 lbs and 5 oz and was a whopping 21 3/4 inches long.

One of the props the mom wanted to use I believe was her husband’s metal dump truck toy when he was a child. So she had both her other baby boys photographed in it. I had so much fun coming up with a cute setup for this dump truck, so I had a felted yellow construction hat made for the session.

Keaton's FRESH 48 | Wylie, TX Newborn, Children & Family Photographer

Documenting the first 48 hours of a baby’s life is an absolutely amazing experience and I am so happy and blessed that my clients chose me to document such a sweet and wonderful time in their life.

Keaton’s Fresh 48 is no exception. He was delivered at Medical City Dallas via c-section on 11/2/18 at 5:17 pm.
Weighing in at 6 lbs 13 oz and he was 19.75 inches long.

Mom, dad, big brother, and grandma were all enjoying their new bundle of joy. Big brother was the cutest and loved on his little brother a lot.

Wylie, TX Newborn, Children & Family Photographer | Milestone Cake Smash for Leighten

This sweet girl got to have an Ice Cream cake smash for her first year birthday. How sweet it is to be one. Backdrop was from Baby Dream Backdrops, and mom brought the outfit. Cake was provided by Cakes Amore in Wylie.

One of the things I like to do is to do a few family images before we get the baby messy, so I always recommend wearing the family outfits first and then we change into the cake smash outfit. I also offer a bath splash after the cake smash for an additional fee. This really helps if the baby is extra messy and will help get them cleaned off before you leave. I always have a towel ready to go for baby when they are done. Sometimes I also add bubbles with the bath splash and it makes it extra fun to see the babies trying to grab the bubbles that are in the air.

Newborn photography is such an amazing job. I get to be one of the first people in the world to see, snuggle, and photograph itty bitty babies in their first few weeks of life.
This little guy came to see me along with his parents and older brother. One of the things they mentioned was they are avid Texas A&M fans, so I came up with an idea to have a felted helmet made for their session. While baby was feeding, I was able to capture some adorable images of the older brother.

This beautiful mama contacted me to do her maternity session. I have multiple locations to choose from and The client decided that Parker Rose Garden was the location for her session.

I offer around 15 maternity dresses that I have in my prop closet that my clients are able to use for their session. I usually do 1-2 outfit changes during the session.
