It’s been a while since I’ve written a blog post, and honestly… life has been beautifully full. Between photographing growing families, welcoming brand new babies into my studio, celebrating first birthdays, and capturing families as they are right now, the years have flown by.
So if you’re new here — hi, I’m Jayme.
I’m the heart behind Jayme King Photography, and I specialize in maternity, newborn, milestone, cake smash, and family photography. My passion has always been preserving the seasons that feel like they’re moving too fast — the baby kicks, the tiny fingers, the frosting-covered smiles, the way your child wraps their arms around your neck without hesitation.
Photography isn’t just about taking a pretty picture. It’s about freezing a moment you can never get back.
When I photograph maternity sessions, like the glowing mama standing by the water in soft light, my goal is to help you feel beautiful, strong, and confident in a season that can feel overwhelming and magical all at once.
In my newborn sessions, I focus on soft, timeless, posed portraits that highlight just how tiny and perfect your baby is. Every wrap, every detail, every gentle pose is done with care and safety as my top priority. Those first few weeks pass in a blur — and these images become heirlooms.
Milestone and cake smash sessions? Those are pure joy. One-year-olds with frosting-covered fingers and the biggest belly laughs are some of my favorite moments to photograph. These sessions are playful, colorful, and filled with personality — because turning one is a big deal.
And family sessions… those are about connection. The real smiles. The hugs. The in-between glances. Whether we’re in a field of wildflowers or your favorite outdoor spot, I focus on creating images that feel warm, natural, and full of life.
